Tuesday 15th of June we will have our monthly Inspiration Evening. This time we will taste, feel and sense a text by Etty Hillesum. Etty Hillesum was the Dutch author of intimate letters and diaries which describe both her religious awakening and the persecutions of Jewish people in Amsterdam during the German occupation. In 1943 she was deported and killed in Auschwitz concentration camp. She left the world an amazing collection of letters.

A quote by her:

“What matters is not to allow my whole life to be dominated by what is going on inside me.
That has to be kept subordinate one way or another. What I mean is: one must not let oneself be completely disabled by just one thing, however bad; don’t let it impede the great stream of life that flows through you. I have the feeling of something secret deep inside me that no one knows about.”
