Daytrip to Hambach Forest, Germany
Why is a large group of young people living in the trees?
You are invited to join as we travel to the ancient Hambach forest (south of
Düsseldorf) and visit the people who built a tree-house settlement in an
attempt to preserve the forest from the rapidly expanding lignite mine.
We will meet them and hear their motivation to create a community in the
forest, living in the trees. We will also view the nearby open pit lignite-mine,
(the largest in Europe).
Departure from Bornsesteeg at 10:30 a.m. – return around 19:00
Costs 7,50 Euro, kindly bring your lunch
